Beautiful beach, but its recommend you bring sandals or other similar footwear. Overall, the beach is very clean and a great group to bring friends, family and our pet companions.
My favorite Cape Cod beach!! Friendly vintage beach community in the dunes along North Shore Blvd. Most of this beach is private but there's parking and a small public section. The beach is somewhat rocky but water shoes make this a non issue. The giant sandbars at low tide are spectacular and lots of fun to explore. Fantastic fishing at Scorton Creek. Overall a pretty quiet beach compared to most and no worries about finding a spot to put your blanket. Great place for all ages. Truly a hidden gem!!!
Spent the day today at Sandwich Beach with my wife mother-in-law, my wife, my 4 kids and 2 of their friends. We had a great time. The staff at the front gate was very friendly and had a great sense humor. Walk the boardwalk and rented kayaks had a really nice time. Took out the fishing rods and did a little fishing. The water was great to go Swimming in. I would have to say that I would highly recommend it. But towards the end of the day Cape Cod ice cream truck showed up. They would not stop playing their music over and over and over again from the speakers. I felt like I was back in the Bronx working as a police officer listening to Mr. softy on every corner. But at least in the Bronx they have a limit on how long they can play the music for. When I told the gentleman that it was annoying us and we couldn't enjoy our time at the beach he laughed at me and started hitting an airhead. Maybe the town of sandwich should consider the same laws that they have in the Bronx with limites on how long they can play the music for or not let them play it at all. Or maybe they should revoke your license and sandwich and find another vendor who represents the community better.
Beware! This beach is full of rocks! We stopped here hoping to have a nice sandy getaway, surprise surprise, rocks!
